Industrial Hygiene conducts workplace evaluations to ensure occupational hazards are anticipated, recognized, evaluated and controlled. The Industrial Hygienist focuses on worker protection, aiming to prevent and control occupational injuries and illnesses by developing and implementing practical solutions. This office evaluates noise, lighting, ventilation, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation health hazards, ergonomic risk factors, workplace contaminants and indoor air quality.
Industrial Hygiene offers classes on topics such as workplace health and safety, respiratory protection, asbestos, lead, mold and selection and proper use of personal protective equipment.
